Erin Forsyth’s practice explores the intersection of cultural and bio-diversity through research and application of aesthetic association, taking form in film, mural and illustration works Forsyth describes as ‘contemporary archetypal’ or ‘gateway’ images. Erin has actively exhibited, produced client work and developed a personal practice working with a variety of mediums including gouache, acrylic and oil painting; video, publishing and mural art since 2000. An overview of her work reveals a dynamic visual dialogue and a strong interest in the relationship between humankind and the natural world. An interest highlighted through her publishing concept ‘Tauhou’ - aligning natural history illustrations of native flora and fauna with accessible information.
