"This is it? What is a system? And what are they doing with our drawings?
In This is it!!! I tried to draw the same elements over and over again, throwing in a few new parameters now and then. They’re playful drawings, not too serious—coming from a meditative state of mind. Like placing one brick on top of the next.
While working on this book, I was thinking about still lifes, robots, techno bass music, building houses, being stuck, and trying to solve the same problems again and again."

Lea lives, works, and studies in Berlin. She explores systems, recurring forms, and modular structures. Her work is based on a construction kit system—something with clear rules, but always room for variation. Her pieces aim to create tension—something a little ugly, a little aggressive, yet still somehow appealing. She keeps returning to the same visual interests, developing her own evolving system of repeating elements. @ICHPIKSDICH
